My journey from a local government school to King Edward Medical University.
It was the year of 2019, I was leaving my school to join a new college. My teacher of biology suggested to me “Suleman, you must try to get admission in MBBS, don’t worry about your matric marks.”
I got 1011 marks in matric, which were lesser than average marks of other students. It happened because I didn’t join any academy having a proper test session. I used to learn things by self study. That’s why I learned many things from my mistakes of 9th exams and got 552 to 569 in 10th and a total of 1011 which put me in the middle of rank list of our college.
Anyhow, I carried on and started my 1st year journey at Kips college. 1st year exams were postponed due to COVID-19. Then we started preparation for 12th exams and then only elective subjects. My strategy was again the same, I used to study myself. Avoiding some distractions and with dedication, I got 1083 in my FSc exams which were almost average or above average. I thanked Allah s.w.t as it fulfilled deficiency of my Matric marks.
I had joined a parallel prep session for Mdcat Preparation during my FSc, 2 months before exams as there would be very less time for preparation after exams. It proved beneficial and saved my time. I used to take lectures from home. I used to practice MCQs and solve tests online.
I used to say all my prayers, recite Holy Qur’an with translation and explanation (tafseer) and also used to ask everyone for my success. Specially my mother and my father prayed a lot for me. My brother was my motivation. He used to motivate me during that critical time when there was news circulating about the failure of topper students. He used to say ” کیا ہو جائے گا، پہلی بات تو یہ ہے کہ اپنے آپ کو ذہنی طور پر سمجھا لو کے آپ کا داخلہ پکا ہے، اور اگر فرض کیا داخلہ نہ بھی ہوا سسٹم کی خرابی کے وجہ سے تو کل کو کم از کم یہ افسوس تو نہ ہوگا کے محنت نہیں کی اور فیل ہو گئے”۔
It changed my mind and I understood that Allah s.w.t will do best for me wether I get admission or not.
And thencame my Mdcat test date on 22 September. I was nervous as well as confident. I put all my hopes on Allah s.w.t and entered exam hall. I solved all MCQs and at the end of test, I recited all holy verses, I had learned and did pray for my success.
And then I has to see my result. I was very much confident about my higher marks and I trusted Allah s.w.t a lot. I was also prepared for failure as there was news about flaws of system of Teps. But Allah s.w.t provided fruit of my efforts and finally I got 187 in Mdcat 2021.
I got an aggregate of 92.58%. UpTo 3 lists, my name was in merit list of AIMC but 4th list announced before commencement of classes and I secured Admission at King Edward Medical University.
*#My_message_for_everyone_specially_Mdcat_Aspirants*
So my message for everyone is to rely upon Allah s.w.t. There is no other way to get inner peace except trusting Allah s.w.t. We try to get successful in matric, fsc, Mdcat and other exams. But, what I want to say is these are not real successes. Real success is only being successful in the next world. So why not prepare for that too. Why not say prayers, recite Qur’an, obey Allah s.w.t too. I am not asking to leave all matters of world but just saying to prepare for the real exam too.
Mdcat Aspirants, study a lot, work hard, pray for your success, in Sha Allah you will be successful and if you couldn’t get admission then there must be hikmat of Allah s.w.t. Get up and try once again. Might possible this time He s.w.t is gonna bless you with admission.
*”Do your max*
*Pray to Allah*
*Hope for the Best”*
Thank you and JazakAllah
